"Guitar Artistry and Old-Time Roots" with Bobby Henrie & Aaron Lipp

$10 at the door. Doors at 8pm. 21+

Join Bobby Henrie & Aaron Lipp for an evening of guitar artistry and old time folk roots.

Bobby Henrie is a regional roots music legend around these parts. Being the youngest of the 5 Henrie Brothers who tore up the festival stages since the 70's with their deep groove old timey bluegrass music, Bobby was the hot young flatpicking star who excelled on every instrument from a young age. His dedication to old time, bluegrass, rockabilly, jazz and much more has earned him a heavy place as a mentor to many young american roots musicians around the region. Bobby won first place at the state national Flatpicking Championship in 2004 and has been wowing audiences far before and ever since. Aaron Lipp, a generation younger than Bobby, has been touring since the age of 15 and developed a dedication to old time and bluegrass music since he grew up on it during family gatherings as a child. His young energy, impeccable musicianship and knowledge of the old styles combined with Bobby's well-seasoned mastery make them a powerful duo. Both singing lonesome brother harmonies on old Delmore Brothers classics, breathing new life into banjo/fiddle duets while they both switch off on every instrument, and their impressive dual flatpicking arrangements make them a one of a kind regional classic.
